1. Amulya And Adithi from Gattimela

She is your better-half through most of your life, knowing all your secrets, that your parents probably don’t know. For many she maybe a best friend and for the others the relationship is biological. So to all you ‘akka-thangiru‘ or consider yourself lucky to have a bestie, who is like your sister, here’s wishing you a very happy ‘Sisters Day’, on behalf of the Zee Kannada family. While the origins of this day remain unknown many believe that the day has been celebrated since the concept of ‘time’ came into being. On this special day today, we will look at the onscreen colleagues-turned-sisters on the Zee Kannada that will turn your heart to mush.

Starting with the most expressive pair, onscreen sisters, Amulya (played by Nisha Ravikrishnan) and Adithi  (played by Priya Achar) from Gattimela. While they play the role of sisters onscreen, off-screen too these two have bond way stronger than friendship. These two lasses love spending time with each other and I am sure, hold a lot of secrets about each other close to their hearts too.

2. Belli And Harini from Yaare Nee Mohini

Belli (played by Sushma Shekhar) and Harini (played by Harshala) from Yaare Nee Mohini, are the next pair of off-screen sisters on the list. Taking the time out for each other, these two always try to spend as much as time with each other as possible. They don’t play sisters on the show but are sure as hell a pair of thangis off-screen.

3. Janaki And Anu from Jodi Hakki

Although the show Jodi Hakki recently went off-air, I just want to point out that Anu has stayed by Janaki’s side like a shadow (or sister) since the beginning of the show till the end. Chaithra Rao and Madhushree Iyer who play the roles of Janaki and Anu respectively have stayed the closest of pals. One may even call them off-screen sisters. Chaithra was even seen attending Madhushree’s wedding. #touchwood

4. Parnika And Gnana from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs Season 16

The littlest pair of ‘akka-thangi’ has to be six-year-old Parnika and three and a half-year-old Gnana from the blockbuster singing show of Karnataka, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Season 16. According to hostess Anushree, Parnika is Gnana’s switch to talk or interact with anyone or do something. So until Parnika doesn’t tell her to do it, chances are Gnana will stay put. Even though they are born to different mothers, their bond is more than sisters!

5. Kamali And Ningi from the show Kamali

Finally, the closest relationship from the lot has to be hands down Kamali and Ningi’s bond. Even though on the show, they play best friends, we all can agree that Ningi (played by Ankietha M) is more than a friend to Kamali (played by Amulya Gowda). Anytime Kamali is in trouble Ningi proves it that she will go to any extent to protect her. If this is not how sisters are, then I don’t know who is.
