Worried that you have gained a few pounds thanks to all the Deepavali 2019 sweets and other delicious savouries? If you too believe in working your way back up to the ideal weight you wanted to be, then here are a few healthy drinks that will help in detoxification as well as making that tiny ponch healthy and fit again.
Oggarane Dabbi is a show which has given us thousands of recipes over the course of all seasons out together, and Balakrishna Guruji, the special guest on the show never disappoints. So without further ado here are some of his delicious health drinks.
1. Apple – Carrot Juice
Grated Apples, Grated Carrots, Dates Paste, Ginger
In a mixer grinder add the grated apples, grated carrots, dates paste as well as ginger. If you want some tanginess you can add some lemon juice but it is not necessary. Then add some ice cubes, some water and give this all a good mix. Sieve and serve chilled!
2. Jambu Nerale Juice
Jamoon Fruit, Stevia Powder (a natural sweetener), Black Salt, Cumin Powder and Salt, to taste.
Boil the Jamoon Fruit in water until the skin lightly starts to break off. Then, leave it aside to cool. Once cool, remove all the seeds but don’t throw away the skin of the fruit or the stock. Add the stock, along with the skin and pulp of the fruit into a mixer-grinder. To this, add a pinch of black salt, a little salt, the stevia powder and a pinch of cumin powder and blend well. Garnish with ice cubes and serve!
3. Guava Fruit Juice
Chopped Guava, Dates Syrup, Fresh Lemon Juice, Black Pepper Powder, Salt
Add the chopped guava, a little salt for flavour, some cold water and the dates syrup in a mixer-grinder and blend well. Once done, pour out the contents in a glass and squeeze some fresh lime into it. Garnish this with some pepper powder and dates syrup on top and serve!
4. Strawberry – Anjoora Juice
Strawberries, Figs, Fresh Lemon Juice, Black Salt, Cinnamon Powder and Salt, to taste.
In a mixer grinder, add figs, strawberries, black salt, a pinch of cinnamon powder, salt along with cold water and blend. Once done, add lemon juice and blend it one more time. There is no need to sieve this mixture for health benefits. Pour the juice into a glass and serve chilled!
