Bharati Hegde, who plays the role of Chitra on Yaare Nee Mohini, is a person who believes in keeping herself fit. She uses Yoga and healthy food habits to ensure her health is taken care of. If you are a fan of Bharati, it is time to take care of your physical and mental health too.
Muttu gets emotional about how Sharmila and Bhaira perceive him in this episode:
The biggest concern about eating healthy is the notion that it is expensive. Many of you might think that health food is unique and will cost more. But that is not entirely true. Take Bharati for example, her favourite snacks are corn-based and corn is not at all expensive.
While many health dishes require expensive ingredients, these quick healthy snack recipes don’t require more than five items. Take a look.
1. Salted crackers with peanut butter and fruits
Another lip-smacking salty-sweet snack, for all you health-conscious people to enjoy without thinking twice. Here’s how to make it.
-Fruits (of your choice)
– A plate
Spread out a few crackers on the plate. Apply your heart’s content of peanut butter on each cracker. Now, use cut fruits of your choice and simply decorate the crackers. Voila! It’s that simple.
2. Fresh cheese curd salad with toast
Cheese curd is another word for paneer or cottage cheese. A few pointers to keep in mind are to ensure that the cheese curd is in a liquid form (it is available in the stores or you can make it at home). The second thing to keep in mind is, make the toast after the salad. Let’s look at the recipe now.
-Fresh cheese curd
-Salad veggies of your choice (like tomato, cucumber, lettuce and cabbage)
-A spoon to mix
-A bowl to serve
In a bowl, mix the fresh liquid cheese curd with the finely chopped salad vegetables using a spoon. Add salt and pepper as per taste and set aside. Now toast your bread as per your taste and serve! Even with many ingredients, this dish is quite simple, wouldn’t you agree?
3. Frozen yoghurt health bars
This dish is delicious for everyone who loves eating anything sweet. The recipe is so easy that you would probably want to make it right now. Let’s take a look at how to make this yummy snack.
-Greek yoghurt (You can use normal yoghurt as an alternative)
-Fruits (Of your choice)
-Some butter paper/parchment paper
Spread out the Greek yoghurt evenly on a pan covered with parchment or butter paper. Once done, sprinkle any of your favourite dry fruits on the top. The quantity of fruits is based on your choice. Now, freeze the yoghurt for about 4-5 hours. Finally, break the yoghurt into biscuit or bar like shapes and enjoy absolutely guilt-free!
Making snacks that are healthy might seem like a tedious task but trust me, these can be the best supplements to control all your health problems. Plus, the element of being guilt-free while eating adds to the excitement that much more.
