The director of Huliraya, Aravind Kaushik, who has also written the story and screenplay of the film, has ensured to include life messages throughout. One such lesson is the importance of staying humble and living a life free of ulterior negative emotions like anger and jealousy. Suressa, the protagonist, is a man who has lived his whole life in the deep forests of Karnataka. Until he falls in love with Malli, nothing urges him to go to the big city of Bengaluru. But when he leaves his home, to make something out of himself, his life takes a complete U-turn!
You can now watch Huliraya here if you still haven’t:
This movie has beautifully portrayed the essence of home, in the truest sense. When we say home or house, it means a safe placed filled with abundant love and care from those people that are closest to us. Even though Suressa, a simple man, somehow manages to live in the city and make money, there isn’t a single day when he misses the forest. If you are living away from home, you too must have missed your family on the not-so-good days. No matter where you are, it is important to keep the basic values that you learnt at home with you.
Adapting the lifestyle of where you are staying currently might be needed in most cases, but adaptation is very different from changing yourself. Remember, we all come from humble backgrounds. So, you might make loads of money or you might have power, but your personality will always be judged by how down-to-earth you are. Simplicity is the key to stay happy and content with whatever you have. Do this and the world will be a better place to live in.
