Home Minister Amit Shah Accuses Mamta Banerjee Of Not Supporting Migrant Labourers

Amit Shah writes a letter to Mamta Banerjee, says the West Bengal government is not allowing special trains for labourers.

Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has sent a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee. He has stated that she is not supporting migrant labourers. He further added that while the Central Government. had facilitated more than two lakh migrants to go back home, the West Bengal Government, is not granting permission to the special trains arranged to take labourers back to their homes.

The lockdown has especially been difficult for the migrant labourers, who have lost their jobs, and are eager to reach home. Amit Shah also said that it saddened him to see these migrant labourers, from West Bengal, not getting any support to reach home. Amit Shah says this will create further hardship for them. Both the Governments have been constantly accusing, and criticising each other.

The Railways is running special trains on the request of State governments, to help the migrant labourers to reach home.
