Troops of India and China got involved in a face-off near Nathula Pass, in the Sikkim sector of the Sino-India border wherein a number of troops from both sides were injured as they indulged into a physical fight.
It was the first case of troops from both sides exchanging blows after a similar incident had taken place in Pangong Lake in Ladakh in August 2017. It is also discovered that a total of 160 soldiers were involved in the face-off that occurred on Sunday.
The issue is also seeming tense at the moment. as the India-China border dispute covers most of the Line of Actual Control. The sources said temporary and short duration face-offs occur due to different perception of the border by both sides.
A source also mentioned that the fact that the injuries have been confirmed and brought into the public suggests that the issue is of utmost concern.
